So I bought this chair way back in early spring of 2019, and it finally kicked the bucket this month, so it lasted 4 years which for me is amazing since I usually only get a couple years if even out of my chairs since I game and desk work alllll day. Like seriously alllll day. I have used many chairs, ones that look much thicker and fancier than this one and they have absolutely failed me. Usually the base breaks or the wood seat base cracks or the back starts to detach because I like to tilt and lean or the arms start to detach. This one made it through years. I will be buying another.Pros: Its so sturdy. I'm about 5'7" and 350lbs or so n I'm like dense n I flop into the chair, move around, etc, and it held my weight fine. Could easily handle a person of 6'+. The arms are offset from the base so they don't dig into your legs at all, plenty of room, plus they're adjustable up and down for different heights. The arms are very strong even thoughthey do not attachto the back. I lean a lot n they never budge from where I set them. The seat is very wide and deep. I have a huge thigh situation going on n a big caboose and usually have lots of trouble with seating everywhere I go, no issues on this seat, it was the best. It never felt tight or judgy, if you're big you get this. Tilts great, even for a heavier person, which is rare. Has the right kind of leg drop so I don't get dead thigh or feel like I'm gna blood clot something. Height adjustment works great and the piston stayed secure, didn't droop. Base is very wide, be ready if your desk opening is smaller. My desk is a large glass tiered open front corner desk so I had no issues but I could see where someone might. The base is designed plenty wide to support you tilting and such. Its an overall very sturdy big persons chair.Cons: Padding is fine but not thick enough for my personal preference, it doesn't have springs or dance Serta filling, but I've gotten those kinds before and the padding was great on them but the frames all broke in like a year or so, which was a waste. I ended up getting a nice memory foam seat pad n lumbar pad and it was perfect, just the little extra I needed to sit for 8-14 hours working. Also got thick memory foam arm pads because I seriously lean hard on my chair arms. The wheels it comes with are fine, I've used them this entire time, but at one point two years ago I wanted to switch them out for pink clear ones and I realized that these wheels have a drop lock for safety so once they're in there's no switching them. Make sure you put the wheels you want the first time. If you do have wood floors the wheels it comes with will scratch them up, I recommend getting the rollerblade style wheels as an alternative for no scratchies (this is why I wanted to switch mine).Overall, depending on what you're looking for, the situation with this chair vs others is that the structure and seat width of this chair held up far superior to others I've tried over the years, but its just not as fancy padding-wise. I appreciate the dependable structure though, how wide the seat is and the security of not breaking because I can always throw on some more padding easy. I'd rather have the frame and width I need so I will be buying another and transferring my padding over.Hope this helps your decision ?
