This chair mat is fine in every way except for one thing. It will turn the bottoms of your bare feet black. Not just a little black, mind you, but tinted black as if you've been walking on a freshly paved street. Black like you've been strolling through coal dust. Black like you've not bathed in quite a few days and have not worn shoes for longer still. I would probably buy it gain because it was inexpensive and it does what it is supposed to do (protects my floor), but I will consistently wear shoes while sitting in my office chair from now on.It is thin, but appears durable. Very hard to roll on.This is almost a perfect mat. It doesn't slip, it doesn't curl and it provides a nice surface for your chair to glide on without slipping or damaging a laminate floor.So what's the problem? Well...if you own a Roomba i5, it has a tendency to bunch up at the edges when Roomba tries to roll OVER it which causes Roomba to think that it's hit a barrier. While this could be attributed to a fault in Roomba, it's worth nothing that the same behavior can occur when it finds an article of clothing on the floor. I think the problem is that the mat would really be serviced well with a more rigid and slightly heavier edge along its perimeter - the same problem can happen if you go too far with your desk chair and try to roll one of the wheels above the edge. For most desk users, however, the likelihood of straying that far from the mat means you're not really engaged with your desk anymore so it's safe to say that for its intended use, it works just fine.Out of curiosity, however, I did take my Roomba i7 from the larger part of the house and tested it on the mat and it did handle it far better. You can also fix the issue by placing a light adhesive along the perimeter to prevent that from happening on cheaper models.
