In looking for a chair of this type, it seemed that nobody had written an in-depth review of this chair. So, here it is.I bought this chair to replace one I had bought at OfficeMax 3 years ago. Regrettably, I had broken a plastic arm holder on that chair. I still would have kept it, but as it happened, I couldn't fit it in the moving van to move to my new home. So I left it. And there my troubles began. This is a decent chair, but it's not a good chair if you're big and tall. They say it is, but it isn't. The 'widening' arms creep back in on their own when they're supposedly locked, making for an uncomfortable experience. I can also hear the back creak when I lean back and I know that it isn't going to be a lasting piece of furniture like my OfficeMax chair was.I also question the idea of the swiveling arms. Supposedly, (according to the video from the manufacturer) these arms are supposed to allow you to have arm movement, but my actual experience is that the swiveling arms just get in your way and annoy you. It's really more of a bug than a feature. I mean, who really needs the arms on a task chair to swivel? No matter how fat I might get, I'm not fat enough to need an armrest under my arm for EVERY move I make. I CAN still lift my arm, at least for now.I paid what I consider to be a lot of money for this chair and I am well aware that it won't last nearly as long as my last chair, which bothers me. If you do buy this chair, I hope your experience is better than mine.
