This is a very comfortable chair once you get use to it. I just wish it didn't automatically lean back when I sit in it. I also have had a problem with one of the wheels since I got it - it just snapped off and when I looked at it, I can see that the plastic itself had been literally ripped in half and all I did was scoot back a bit and then turned around to get up out of the chair. I'm not a really big person, but I'm not tiny either - so this would indicate not as durable as it's stated as. I'd recommend it though because it's still a very good chair, other than the one wheel I haven't had any problems besides it wanting to lean back all the time. Maybe it's meant to lean back, I don't know - the packaging was horrible, but that's not the fault of anyone here - it has to do with whoever was used for shipping, they just didn't care what happened to it - it looked like someone beat it with a sludge hammer. When I bought this chair, it was winter, snow everywhere - it was in the box, it was laying in my drive way, instead of at my door on my porch. I still rated this at least 4 stars because the manufacture did a pretty good job, I just wish that the wheels were more thick and durable to withstand moving around on carpet without a plastic pad to put down, I probably should have bought one but it's too late now and I didn't know any better.The chair is well designed overall, though a little lower than I anticipated. (That was my own fault, I should have read the specs more closely. Max seat height is less than 22".) I left off the arms for greater maneuverability, as I often do. The seat cushion and back are both very comfortable and supportive.However, the base and wheels are a major drawback. They're cheap, flimsy, and SMALL. You can't roll these tiny little wheels on anything other than an absolutely flat surface like linoleum--carpet is out of the question. The plastic is quite thin, and it's clear the base legs will give out before long, assuming a wheel doesn't snap off first. Which is a darn shame, because otherwise the chair shows good quality everywhere else.Like others here, I had problems with this chair. I had it about 8 months before it broke the first time. The part of the base near where it attaches to the wheel (see picture). I was able to contact the company, and they did send a replacement part, free of charge. Then, about 6 months later, it did it again! Not going to bother getting another replacement part. I'm only giving 2 stars since they replaced the part the first time.love the chair; how ever the wheels broke on it; if there's any possible way i can purchase jus a base part of the chair to replace the wheels would be fantastic. if so please contact me at [email protected] like them at first, but the wheels are not strong enough for The big and tall individuals.
