I can feel the coarse paint as if it were sprayed on, which doesn't affect functionality but can be felt.The gold is not the same gold as my couches legs (see picture) it's more of a dull/ matte gold than what I personally expected from the pictures.PERSONAL PROBLEM, I ASKED FOR THIS SHIPMENT TO BE REFUNDED BEFORE I was charged for the item or before it was shipped, yet, I was STILL CHARGED and it WAS STILL SHIPPED. SUPER AGGREIVATED that I have to return it, so I figure since there were no reviews and this big box was sitting in my office that I would put it together for everyone who is considering this item. It almost feels like a $250 chair, outside of the cheap paint job, however, the weight makes it feel like luxury and the color will get you many compliments.
