I am a heavy woman. 350 pounds and sitting in this chair doesn't give me the feeling that it will be breaking or bending under my weight. The chair is relatively light and the footprint is a lot smaller than my previous chair, which I like a lot. The reason I did not give this chair 4 stars is because of the back. I was hoping it would be a comfortable chair that i can somewhat recline in, but that is not the case. Once assembled, and it was a fast, easy assembly, the chairs natural structure is to push forward. When you sit in this chair you have to sort of wiggle into it. When it reclines I feel that this is not enough and crave an extra 2 or three inches backwards. When the chair is fully reclined I am sitting perfectly up. Not great for gaming, not great for sitting in for a long time, but when you are a heavy person it seems you have to give up a lot of comforts. At least in this case. The cushion is large and not too uncomfortable. The arms are in the perfect place and I can move the chair up and down a good range. I am 5'8 and this is pretty decent for having both my feet touching the ground. The casters are a dream. They glide in an almost ethereal fashion over our hard wood floor and the chair itself is super sturdy and feels super sturdy, too. Very important._____Stars___Sturdiness: 5Comfort: 3Ease of assembly: 5Over all I am happy. I am trying to be optimistic about the back pushing on me like that and thinking that maybe this will help my posture in the long run.EDIT 3-11-15: There is a magical KNOB down there underneath the chair that, when turned, loosens the back of the chair so that it actually moves backwards. I found the perfect sweet spot making this chair PERFECT! Ah knowledge and experience.Chair feels very sturdy and is quite comfortable to sit in. Most other computer chairs I have used in the past would cause you to get really warm if you sat in them for hours at a time but this chair is quite airy and open.Pros:The back is a thin but strong layer of mesh that is comfortable on the back and keeps you nice and cool while sitting down for long periods of time. The arms of the chair and can adjusted up and down. The chair is made from high quality parts, no cheap plastic anywhere and the base of the chair is sturdy and does not wobble or creak at allvery high weight limit and plenty of seat space.Setup was straight forward however I have to use my own screwdriver so you will either need to have your own screwdriver set or find someone that does to put this together. (It comes with the alen wrench though.)Cons:I keep accidentally slamming my heel against one of the wheels and boy does that hurt >.>Not be the best chair for shorter than average peopleEDIT - After owning this for a week I have come to notice that the back support piece is extremely uncomfortable after extended use and it was making my back very sore and stiff. I removed the support piece and shoved a firm pillow between the bars and the mesh back layer instead, making leaning back more comfortable and still giving the chair something to support the mesh so it wont tear or sag inwards.I received this chair as a gift so I didn't research it online. Overall, the chair seems well-made and sturdy, promising a reasonably long life, even for hefty folks. I am an old geezer weighing about 285 lbs. and it doesn't creak or groan when I sit in it. I do have a couple of unfavorable comments on its design, however: the seat isn't deep enough (fore & aft dimension) for me to feel really comfortable and the lumbar support pad exacerbates this situation by forcing me even further forward. After removing it, it felt a bit better, though still seeming to push me too far forward. Also the seat cushion is a bit too hard, though an additional cushion made it considerably better. The seat back is fixed in the forward/backward direction and it would seem to be a good change to have this adjustable. This would allow one to compensate for the rather small seat cushion. I have seen other similar office chairs with this feature and it would seem to be a rather trivial change in design. In fact, one of the three mounting holes in its mounting bracket is already elongated, as if to allow for such an adjustment, but the other two are not.One additional comment: as another reviewer experienced, one of the two plastic hardware containers had broken in shipment, scattering screws and washers into the shipping carton. Searching around inside and under the cardboard flaps produced all the required pieces except for one washer, which was easily replaced with a standard hardware item.Item arrived in a timely manner with Prime shipping. Easy to install, 7 bolts without armrests, add 10 more with them. I mean it, this thing takes longer to unpack than it does to assemble. I am 300 lbs and 6ft 3in tall, this thing is made for big folks like me. Just looking at the welds, size of the metal and everything about this screams HEAVY DUTY.The reason I am giving it four stars is such:1. The product did not come with the 10 bolts to attach the armrests. Called the 1800 number on the box and they shipped them to me at no cost, but still a hassle I would have rather not had to deal with.2. The chair could use some more padding. It's heavy duty but could use another layer of foam in the seat.3. The metal piece that the wheels pop into, the 5 point star looking thing that I don't know what's called, has some sharp edges. I cut the hell out of my heels the first day I had this. I move around quite a bit when I game and noticed VERY quickly how sharp the edges were. Gonna have to put something over them because there is no getting used to that. The chair is very solid and I'm sure would last a very long time. The problem is I'm 5'10 and use it at its maximum height so its not for tall people. I weigh 380 lbs and have to squeeze myself into the seat, Also the seat is very shallow so I have to lean the back all the way back to sit on it without feeling like I'm going to slide off the front. It's 1" narrower and 3" shallower than my $149 chair from Costco that is rated for 275 lbs. Overall I think this is a very well built sturdy chair for normal size people, but useless for someone big or tall.Update: Requested to return the chair more than a month ago and no response from the seller.I wanted to wait a year before reviewing this chair as I had purchased it as a Christmas gift for someone weighing 420 lbs / 190 kg.and I wanted to ensure a "true" consumer report as I had been looking for so long. Flash chair has proven to be extremely sturdy & comfortable. It is so solid that it is like new after it has been used daily as his primary chair for over 5-6 hrs a day for the past 10 months..In addition it was so easy to assemble that as a mature woman I had it done quickly & easily ! My highest recommendations :)Have been using it for a week now. Comfortable chair, nice and sturdy.Didn't include assembly instructions, but was easy enough to figure out.Great chair and finally the right quality. I’m a big guy (6’3, 320). Usually have problems with the hydraulic failing at some point. This chair was easy to assemble and feels really solid and comfortable.Very nice chair and feels very solid.Minor issue is the cushion you sit on is narrow in relation to the weight of the expected user.
