This chair just broke on me after near daily use across 2 years (1 year and 10 months to be exact). I just ordered another one of these chairs as a replacement, and I would recommend this product for someone looking for a moderately comfortable office chair on tight budget.THINGS TO NOTE:The bottom cushion is particularly thick and is noticeably more soft and cushiony than other office chairs I've tried at this price range ($50 at time of this review). This does translate to a much more comfortable sitting experience for me personally as I have a very flat rear, and less cushiony office chairs will often make me sore around my tailbones after extended sitting - I do not have this problem at all with this chair.I did notice the chair getting squeaky at times. The odd thing for me is that it comes and it goes - it's usually silent the vast majority of the time but there's an occasional session where it does squeak and creek every time I shift my weight. I have no idea what causes this. The height adjustment and lock to lean/rock back work fine and in par with other office chairs at this price range. Nothing fancy on these fronts here. I think the height does slowly get lower over time as the hydraulic system loses pressure, but I have found this to be relatively common for office chairs at this budget. The chair's durability seems fine to be relative to (again) this budget range. I didn't exactly try throwing this chair off a cliff but it seems to have held up fine. You might be curious to why I'd say this when this chair broke on me - the left side of the chair's back broke on me. Thing is, I'm a chronic sloucher and lean back quite frequently. If you lean back and aim to put a lot of pressure on the chair's back, then know that you may be shortening your chair's life span. I'm not too upset about this at this price range because I've broken 3 chairs at this same price range in more or less the same way, so it's my impression that I'd have to pay up or sacrifice something else to have more durability in that department. One last thing to note is that I was sent the wrong color chair (I ordered black but got blue). Customer service did help and give me a small refund (I believe about $10) but they were not willing to replace the chair unless I returned the incorrect order first, which would have been very difficult for me - I'd have to lug the chair a mile on foot in the snow/ice. While I do feel supported by customer service and do consider the situation mostly rectified, I do think they left something to be desired and wish they had just taken care of the mistake thoroughly as opposed to give me compensation for an incorrect order I had no real choice but to live with.Using product for a home laptop computer desk. It has support for back and is compact for space I am using it in.Good product for the price. It’s sturdy and confortable. It was little hard to put together.Guess u get what u pay for. Had it for a year, now it leans to one sideGood purchase. I was able to assemble it by myself. Price worthy and I like it.The $100 chair at Ikea was out of stock and we needed two anyway so i took a flyer on this. Delivered way ahead of schedule. Assembly was reasonable if you can follow directions. (tip: ignore the picture and bolt the back onto the seat, then bolt on the arms.) Comfort is good, the lumbar isn't bad considering. If one of the expensive chairs is an A, this is sort of a B, and no lower, so recommended unless you just have to spend the $$ for the A chair, and especially if you need a group of reasonable chairs for less fussy people.ETA: Wayfair is selling this exact same chair (albeit in a range of colors and with chrome trim) for $80, marked down from $250.ETA: This same chair is available in multiple listings on Amazon. Some of the listing report problems. Having paid attention when assembling the chair, I can say than most problems sound like they are related to improper assembly. Make certain that ALL bolts are fully fastened - this took me a bit of effort. Make sure the seat assembly is oriented properly - adjustment canister in the front (or it will tilt forward). Make sure the tilt adjustment canister is tightened or loosened properly - if not, you will either tilt excessively or not at all.In our household these are currently being used by someone less than 100 pounds. It is entirely possible that a person weighing (like me) North of 250 and leaning back often might crack the back or the caster attachments. The seller does not specify a weight limit, but it's worth considering. The chair was cheap, so I shouldn't expect much but common sense would say that all the bolts should be the same size since they're all going into the same panels. Beyond that the arm rest are like a brick and uncomfortable (and if you sit awhile painful) on the elbows. As far as ergonomic, my back hurts more after 3 hours then my old chair did after 12I have had this chair for about a week now and it is not as comfortable as I thought. I understand it was an inexpensive purchase, but was hoping for more ergonomic support versus causing more issues. The chair was easy to assemble following instructions. With all of the screws tightened with the tools given the chair back support seems wobbly. When sitting back using the back support sit at about a wider than a 90-degree angle. Feels as though back support is going to give no adjustment to lift the back support. Over the last week, the chair slowly slides down on the height piston two times over the period I have had it. Slight tilt or rock when in the chair. Comfortable base seat cushion. The height of the chair when fully extended puts a good angle for the legs and just right above the desk position for the arms. The chair is on the carpet but on mat rolling and movement it is good. The chair now continuously slides down and does not maintain a good position for typing or desk work. Tilts to the side causing back and side pain. I have tried reassembling with an industrial glue to stop the sliding down on the piston and that did not work.
