Edit: While my experience with the chair as not the best, I must say that the customer service was excellent and they seem to be very willing to stand behind their product. I've been issued a full refund and my communication with the seller (who reached out to me) was nothing less than stellar. Knowing this, I will be far more comfortable purchasing from this seller in the future, as many companies do not provide much in the way of product support these days.Just to be clear, I'm absolutely nowhere near the 450lb weight limit this chair claims to support. After assembling the chair, which was relatively simple, everything seemed to be fine for most of the first week. The chair is a little more firm than I expected, but it was reasonably comfortable for a desk chair. One evening while having an online discussion, I was admittedly leaning a bit on the right arm of the chair. Once again though, being well below the weight limit advertised, I didn't imagine it would be problematic. Suddenly there was a very loud cracking noise, and I nearly tumbled out of my chair onto the floor. The joint holding the arm had ripped completely in half. While I also do realize that the arms of the chairs aren't made to support the full weight of the person sitting in it, I wouldn't think someone leaning against the arm of the chair a little would cause this malfunction.
